Wee Woodland Loafers + Beloved Bonnet + Sōm

Back in October, the Monthly Make was this gorgeous Beloved Bonnet, and it's just that: beloved. Everyone who sees it falls in love instantly! In addition to being beyond adorable, the construction of the bonnet is designed to stay put and frame your favorite little face!

We're sharing it here again because now we have a sample of the cutest little loafers to keep little toes toasty. What we most love about this little gem of a pattern is that the loafer comes off your needle with ZERO seaming or finishing (short of weaving in those ends). Short row shaping is incorporated for the heel & toe; these slippers are designed to fit and stay on.

We made both the Beloved Bonnet and the Wee Woodland Loafers with Camellia Fiber Co's Sōm, a lovely blend of alpaca and pima cotton - both fibers we usually associate with drape - and the chainette construction of the yarn also adds loft and structure to the finished fabric.

Holiday Knitting: Super Chunky Hat!

We think this would be an excellent project if your holiday gift-knitting list is long and crafting time is short. This beanie is knit using a single skein of Perulana, a 100% Peruvian super chunky wool. In addition to being super cute, you can churn these out QUICK (seriously: they only take a couple of hours, tops).
