Twist Top Touque
Weird times, amiright!? Under normal circumstances, we wouldn't be discussing "holiday" or "gift-knitting" until at best end of September. But it's just July, and we're already seeing so many of you taking a gander at our shop samples - on the hunt for something quick because you need to craft in multiples - so we guess it's safe to assume holiday crafting season has begun!
One of our faves -- the Twist Top Touque pattern, which we worked from a single skein of Nashville-based Camellia Fiber Co Chunky (100% merino wool) -- knits up super quick! We added a little flair and topped it with a faux fur pom. Be Wool from Universal Yarns (60/40 acrylic/wool) is another good yarn option.

Meet our newest love: the Drop Crop sweater from designer Annie Lupton! We knew we wanted it the moment clapped eyes on it when the pattern released on July 7! It features rings of dropped stitches around the yoke and bottom edge, which creates an interesting pattern and lacy effect. This tee is great for layering over dresses! Size ranges from a 37.5" -72.5" bust circumference. Meg is wearing a 48" - nice and swingy!
Written for worsted-weight yarn, we knew hitting gauge with dk-weight Silky Wool would be no problem since we did the same with our Tilly a while back (click here to see it)! Our Drop Crop is two-color - as the pattern is written - and we're already dreaming of another one...maybe just a single color the second time around? Who knows!? Stay tuned!
