The Waverly Cowl
Although it doesn't feel much like winter quite yet (here in Nashville, anyway), we alllll know colder temps are on the way and it's time to start thinking about neck warming! We've got an adorable trunk show in the shop from A. Opie Designs, and this Waverly Cowl is one of our favorite pieces from it. Waverly is a stranded color-work circular cowl worked in a tube that then closes at the end using a modified Kitchener stitch that grafts live stitches to the cast-on edge. Waverly uses five colors of Weepaca from Big Bad Wool; you'll need three skeins of one color for the main color, then one skein each of four additional colors. Our in-store sample uses the five above; we've suggested a couple of other combinations down below. Shop Weepaca HERE!
The Waverly pattern is available directly from Ravelry right HERE!
If you're local, stop by the store to see this trunk show in person...we'll have it for a few weeks!
What The Fringe!?The wildly popular What the Fringe? kits from The Loom are back in stock! Each kit comes with one skein each of four different yarns (Piega, Risoni, Speck & Fusilli) along with the pattern in a fun little box.
Knitting the rich and varied colors of the LOOM’s all-natural silk and hemp yarns brings the same thrill as opening a new box of crayons at the start of a school year. As the shawl grows, you'll experience how the pattern highlights the beauty and distinctiveness of each of the four different yarns.
Completed blocked shawl size: 46" x 32" x 56" (not including fringe length).
