We're dreaming of a beach vacation -- and though we can't actually manage to make it happen right now, we might as well pretend like we're there!
Knit from the top down, the Saltwater shawl blends garter and stockinette with simple striping to create a gentle fade of color and texture. It's finished off with a simple crochet border reminiscent of little sandcastles along the seashore. Worked up in Unity Beyond – a summery blend of wool, cotton, linen, and bamboo – Saltwater is the perfect shawl for breezy, seaside evenings...even if they're imaginary.
The pattern includes instructions for a crocheted border, but we've worked out a knit-edge hack and we'll also include instructions for that as well!
We've kitted up Saltwater in a handful of colors and you can shop those right HERE!
Like the yarn and want to make something other than the Saltwater shawl? We've got open stock of Unity Beyond right HERE!
Easy-Peasy in Noro KakigoriThe Easy-Peasy Poncho, - originally published in Noro Knitting Magazine #18, Spring/Summer 2021 - really is easy-peasy. This one is a great piece for beginners, since it uses just a simple knit stitch and is worked in one piece! It's worked in Kakigori from Noro, a DK weight blend of cotton, silk, viscose, and polyamide. It's hand-dyed in nature-inspired colorways, and since it's mostly cotton, we love this one for summertime knitting!
Shop Noro Kakigori HERE! You'll need two skeins to complete the poncho.
