Dankai Shawl

Two new yarns for Spring from Ito!  The Dankai Shawl  uses Washi and Niji held together throughout the shawl. Washi is a lightweight paper and viscose yarn that knits crisp and clean for summer garments. Niji is a fine thread with long sequences of artfully plyed colors that will add a subtle wash to your scarf or shawl when carried along with Washi. It won’t change your gauge significantly. It also works well carried with a winter yarn like Isager Alpaca!

Intertidal Sweater

Intertidal is a brand new sweater from local designer Elizabeth Davis. The effortless style is slightly cropped, with a boxy shape and interesting ribbing details. We used Geilsk, one of our favorite wool/cotton blend yarns, for many seasons of wear!

Another local designer, Rebecca Reveal, has brought in a super cute hat for your little one: A Pixie Hat for You! Knit in only one skein of HiKoo Zumie, you will have this finished in a weekend.

A Note from Christina, Organizer of Threads of Kindness:

Hello everyone...I'd like to invite you to join a group that is very near to my heart as I know it is for many of you.  We are working to provide hospice patients in middle Tennessee with a blanket or shawl for a little comfort at a time when they may most need it and preemie blankets and hats to many of the Nashville's Neo-Natal units.  If you think this giving opportunity may be right for you, please reach out to us.  We are fortunate to have generous yarn donations from Haus of Yarn helping us along our way and would love to share our stash with you.
