Age of Brass and Steam

Finally! It's cold enough to wear and knit all our favorite bulky yarns. Here is a new one from Noro, Cyochin. Cyochin is a wool/silk/mohair blend that self-stripes in muted colors. We supersized the Age of Brass and Steam to make this ultra-cozy shawl. Using US 11 and 15 needles you will have this one finished in no time at all!

Offhand Lace

Offhand Lace is a recipe more than a pattern, although you can follow it exactly. We used two skeins of Sweet Georgia Chunky for an oversized effect. The easy lace design is good for beginners!

Outlander Cowl

Here you go, Outlander Fans! The Outlander Cowl is incredibly warm and super fast to make. We knit ours holding one strand of Mirasol Ushya with Ushya Suya for a subtle color shift. Both of these super bulky merino yarns are crazy soft and cuddly. The cowl is made on US 50 needles! You can make one in an evening, so it's a perfect for all your last minute gift needs!

A Note from Christina, Organizer of Threads of Kindness:

Hello everyone...I'd like to invite you to join a group that is very near to my heart as I know it is for many of you.  We are working to provide hospice patients in middle Tennessee with a blanket or shawl for a little comfort at a time when they may most need it and preemie blankets and hats to many of the Nashville's Neo-Natal units.  If you think this giving opportunity may be right for you, please reach out to us.  We are fortunate to have generous yarn donations from Haus of Yarn helping us along our way and would love to share our stash with you.
