Ravelry

After a week of ice storms and being stuck in the house, you have probably seen all the cute internet cat videos possible. So where do you go next? Ravelry.com, of course! You probably know it is a treasure trove of information about yarns, patterns and what's hot in the knitting world. Did you also know that there are forums, and Haus of Yarn has a group? The Haus Knitters are just finishing up a Selfish Knitting KAL (knit-a-long). Check out all these awesome finished sweaters!

We used the Top Down Swing Pullover pattern, which is a perfect pattern for your first sweater or your 30th, because of it's easy construction and flattering fit. By posting to the KAL thread, our participants received advice and encouragement throughout the process! We will start a new KAL soon, and we want to know what you want to knit! Click here to check in with us and let's choose another fun knit-a-long!

HiKoo Abracadabra

When we finally opened on Thursday after being closed all week, UPS brought us a bunch of boxes.  One contained this amazing new yarn from HiKoo, Abracadabra! This fun yarn changes color when you put it in the sun! Going from cream to either pink or purple, this is some of the most exciting novelty yarn we've seen in a while! It will gradually turn back to cream once you return indoors. Check out our video!

A Note from Christina, Organizer of Threads of Kindness:

Hello everyone...I'd like to invite you to join a group that is very near to my heart as I know it is for many of you.  We are working to provide hospice patients in middle Tennessee with a blanket or shawl for a little comfort at a time when they may most need it and preemie blankets and hats to many of the Nashville's Neo-Natal units.  If you think this giving opportunity may be right for you, please reach out to us.  We are fortunate to have generous yarn donations from Haus of Yarn helping us along our way and would love to share our stash with you.
