Yearlong Knit-along

Introducing...The Yearlong Knitalong!

We know you're already familiar with Haus of Yarn's hugely popular Block-a-Month Afghan knitalong...we've been doing it for four years, so perhaps you've even made four afghans! But now we've decided to widen the scope a little bit and do an entire year of monthly projects...each one different and specifically chosen to enhance and build on the skill set you already have! Beginning knitters and advanced experts alike will find something new and exciting to tackle as each month rolls around and at the end of the year, you'll have a stack of hand-knit heirlooms ready to pass on...or keep for yourself!

The Details!
The last Haus of Yarn newsletter of each month will announce the project for the next month, which gives you plenty of time to swing by the shop (or the Yarn Bus!) and make color decisions and stock up on the necessary supplies. The collaged photo above gives you a little taste - a tantalizing hint! - of each project, but because we just know that some of you can't stand the suspense, we've also listed them below, with links to each so you can look ahead and start thinking.  But remember: we'll announce that each new month's project is about to begin in the last newsletter of the previous month.

If you feel like you might need some moral support, we meet informally at 11am on the first Monday of every month at Haus of Yarn, so there'll always be plenty of complimentary advice and help on hand. Attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free and any change to that regular meeting time will be announced in plenty of advance.

For those of you who'd like to stick with the Block-a-Month Afghan Knitalong, have no fear: we aren't abandoning you! The afghan knitalong will continue until you beg us to stop!

A Note from Christina, Organizer of Threads of Kindness:

Hello everyone...I'd like to invite you to join a group that is very near to my heart as I know it is for many of you.  We are working to provide hospice patients in middle Tennessee with a blanket or shawl for a little comfort at a time when they may most need it and preemie blankets and hats to many of the Nashville's Neo-Natal units.  If you think this giving opportunity may be right for you, please reach out to us.  We are fortunate to have generous yarn donations from Haus of Yarn helping us along our way and would love to share our stash with you.
