August Happenings at Haus!
This summer has been absolutely jam-packed with classes and trunk shows over here at the Haus. August is no different! Keep reading for more details about classes, shows and even competitions.
Yearlong Knitalong
Join us in store, TODAY! at 11am for the next installment of the Yearlong Knitalong. This month, we'll be working on the Two Harbors Poncho. We love the construction of this piece, stitched sideways in two easy panels and seamed in the center. Two Harbors is a fun knit and truly flatters every figure.
Strands by Sallie Trunk Show
Saturday, August 13th from 11am to 4pm. Sallie Swor's beautiful "strands" are made from crystals, pearls and semi-precious gemstones and are hand beaded and knotted in a unique fashion. The end results are gorgeous and can be worn as necklaces or bracelets. Mimosas and snacks will be served!
Beyond The Granny
So you know how to chain, single crochet and double crochet... now it's time to make reversible motifs and join as you go! Take the class! Saturday, August 13th and 20th, 1pm-3pm. Call 615-354-1007 to register.
Fake Isle Hat
Learn stranded color work that's allllmost Fair Isle! You'll make this hat that's as pretty on the inside as it is on the outside...and don't be afraid--the yarn does some of the work for you!. Take the class! Saturday, August 13th from noon to 4pm. Call 615-354-1007 to register.
Learn to Weave
Weaving is easy to learn, has very therapeutic qualities and is great for all ages. Loom and all materials to make a mini wall hanging are included in the workshop fee. Take the class! Saturday, August 20th from 10am to 1pm. Call 615-354-1007 to register.
It's State Fair Time!
The deadline for entering the Creative Arts competitions -- including knitting, crocheting and weaving -- is fast approaching. Haus of Yarners have been very successful at the fair in years past; let's keep the tradition going! Registration and information can be found here. The Fair itself runs Sept 9-18. Good luck!
