The Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: January Edition!
Join us in the store TODAY, Monday, January 2nd, at 11:00 am as we kick off the next installment of the Yearlong Knitalong! This time around, we'll be working on mittens! Our all-time favorite mitten pattern is SuBeran's Mittens from designer Theresa Gaffey which incorporates holding a self-patterning sock yarn along with a light mohair strand to make fuzzy, warm mittens.
Not interested in making mittens? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-month Knitalong meets at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 2nd.
Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. DOUBLE STAMPS! We really do appreciate your participation and want to encourage as many of you to make as many of the monthly projects as possible. Earning double stamps will make it that much easier!

Fresh Off Our Needles!
Now that you're finished with knitting for the people who made your knit-worthy list, how about a little crafting time for yourself? The Daydreamer wrap, from designer Janina Kallio, is a generous and striking wrap worked with two colors of fingering weight yarn. We used Malabrigo Sock for our sample in Light of Love and Natural colorways.
The body is first worked top down in a playful combo of garter stitch, stockinette, stripes and eyelets - so you'll never get bored with long, tedious sections - and then it's finished off with a simple lace border, knitted sideways while simultaneously binding off!
Our fingering weight selection is full of possibilities with recent shipments from Malabrigo, Dream in Color, Isager & Mirasol! Stop by the shop soon and select something for yourself...you deserve it!
Save the Date, Y'all...It's Plucky Time!
What are you doing Saturday, January 14th? How about taking a road trip to Nashville to join us for a Plucky Knitter trunk show!?! Sarah and Hayley from The Plucky Knitter are coming to Haus of Yarn! They'll be bringing a Plucky Trunk show to the shop with lots of yarn and samples and maybe even a surprise or two! We'll be celebrating with sparkling cocktails, as well as some of our favorite baked treats.
As an added bonus... Fringe Supply Co. will be there with a pop-up version of their online shop! Fringe is Nashville-based and carries well-curated accessories and tools. You've probably seen their Field Bags in our shop; they'll have so much more here in the store on Jan. 14!
