The Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: February/March Edition!!
Join us in the store, today -- Monday, February 6th -- at 11:00 am as we kick off the next installment of the Yearlong Knitalong! This time around, we'll be working on a wrap designed by Shayron! Bobbe's Wrap is an easy-to-knit wrap and is perfectly cozy for crisp cool mornings or evenings...or when you just want to settle down and curl up with a good book. We've designated this project as a two month long project so we'll be meeting again for this one on Monday, March 6th -- same time, same place!!
Not interested in making the wrap? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-month Knitalong meets at 1:00 pm today -- Monday, February 6th.
Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. DOUBLE STAMPS! We really do appreciate your participation and want to encourage as many of you to make as many of the monthly projects as possible. Earning double stamps will make it that much easier!

Brooklyn Tweed Woolens Trunk Show!
It's FINALLY our turn with the Brooklyn Tweed Woolens trunk show - we'll have it on display until Sunday, February 12th. The Woolens collection from Brooklyn Tweed includes 11 accessory patterns by BT designer, founder and creative director Jared Flood. From hats and cowls to scarves and shawls, Woolens has projects for everyone from bold beginners to experienced knitters. Stop in and see the designs in person and get your own copy of Woolens.
And we've got plenty of Brooklyn Tweed in stock -- and here's a bit of brand-new news: you can order it from us online! Our website is at long last shoppable, though we're rolling things out incrementally. Brooklyn Tweed and a few other lines are up and running, though, so if you just don't want to get in the car, give us a click and we can mail it to you. And by all means, please report any bugs you run into during the online shopping process. We'll be adding more products to the site gradually, so definitely keep checking it out over the next few months.
Upcoming Classes!
Fixing Mistakes! We had such an amazing response to last month's offering of this class, we've decided to offer it again! Let's face it: we ALL make mistakes when we knit. We drop a stitch or forget a yarnover and don't see it until the next row...and sometimes we're not quiiite sure how to fix it! If this sounds a little too familiar to you, you need to take Sue's class! Saturday, February 25th, 11am-1pm; $45. Call the shop to register! 615-354-1007
Mittens! If you're looking for a fast, fun project that will keep your hands warm, this class is for you! These mittens, worked with color-changing Kureyon yarn from Noro, will fly off your needles in no time and will keep someone's hands nice and toasty! Cute dog not included.
