Wollmeise

All Eyes on Wollmeise!

It's official! We are pleased as punch to become a US stockist of Wollmeise, a beautiful hand-dyed yarn from Germany. The final box from our opening order - a box that went rogue for a bit - finally arrived this past Saturday! Because we really do have the dearest customers - who we also call friends - we have two samples on display, both on loan from Laura, one-half of the ever-popular videocast theknitgirllls! Thanks Laura!!

Wollmeise DK is a gorgeous, soft hand-dyed DK weight, 6-ply fine merino wool with a robust, elastic twist, and one skein has 468 yards! The Allis shawl is a simple, elegant, sideways shawl designed to be worn around the shoulders or wrapped around the neck as a scarf. The pattern includes a guide to help you adjust the size so you'll use up every inch of your yarn. Our sample is knit in the Elsa colorway.

Wollmeise Blend is a fluffy, soft sport weight blend of cashmere, merino wool and polyamid. Each skein has a whopping 546 yards! The French Cancan shawl is a simple, feminine, crescent that has a perfect balance of good ol' garter stitch and an amazing lace and braided border. Our sample is knit in the Bussi colorway.

Wollmeise Pure is an incredible fingering-weight superwash merino with a generous 574 yards/skein, hand-dyed in a palette of deep intense colors. We haven't worked up a sample yet, but since there are over 56,000 (!!) projects logged over in Ravelry, we're sure you'll have no shortage for inspiration!!

If you can't make it to the store, you can shop Wollmeise here!
