Infinitely Alice Cowl

Is It Spring Yet?

It's almost the time when our daylight hours will become a wee bit longer, so that means Spring is around the corner! It has us pondering projects that will take us from cool, crisp mornings into those wonderfully warm afternoons. Like...

The Infinitely Alice cowl, worked in the round, features an easy stitch repeat, and it's long enough to be worn long or twisted and looped. We used Fusilli, a richly textured silk/cotton blend from The Loom. It's a thick and thin silk with short slubs of white cotton, providing random marbling throughout, and has a certain crispness and hold which can only be found in silk yarn. This one is meant to be knit open and airy! The pattern is written to work four to five repeats...we kept going and worked nine full repeats prior to binding off. With ten colors to choose from, cast this one on now and you'll be ready for the changing of the season in plenty of time. Shop the kits here, -- we'll be happy to ship it to you. If you're local, select "in-store pickup" and no shipping fee will be added - we'll just hang on to your order until you're able to swing by the shop!

3-color Cashmere Shawl

Shop Favorite

A customer recently asked why we had never featured our in-store sample of Joji Locatelli's 3 Color Cashmere Shawl in our weekly newsletter. Our initial reaction was, "WHAT? It's one of our FAVORITE samples! How can we have never featured it?" But we checked --she was right. Oopsie-daisy! With Spring on the brain, the timing couldn't have been better. Inspired by its predecessor, the 3 Color Cashmere Cowl, this version is perfect if you prefer the freedom of a shawl. There are no complex stitches -- just some stripes, a little texture and a wee bit of lace. What could be more fun than that? How about getting to select not one, not two, but THREE colors of yarn to play with!? We knit our sample using Nuble from Araucania, a beautiful blend of merino and silk. You'll need two skeins of Natural, one skein of Stability and one skein of Emerald Isle to replicate our sample. Or better yet, view all of the available colors here and select the three colors that sing to you -- we'll be happy to ship it to you. If you're local, select "in-store pickup" and no shipping fee will be added - we'll just hang on to your order until you're able to swing by the shop!
