My Darling Clementine
We're now stocking Dyed in the Wool from Spincycle Yarns! What makes Dyed In The Wool different? Unlike most mill-spun yarns - which are spun and then painted or dyed afterwards - this yarn is dyed first, as fiber, before being spun. This process creates a "dyed in the wool" yarn, in which the color permeates the fiber and the color repeats are unpredictable and unique. The Clementine Cowl uses two skeins in contrasting colors and is a simple, drapey, slip-stitched color work cowl. The slipped-stitch polka dot pattern is a simple way to add texture to stockinette fabric. Knit in the round, the finishing couldn't be more simple!
Our sample was knit using the End of Summer and Tell-Tale Heart colorways. We have the printed pattern - which includes a wooden stitch marker featuring the Spincycle Yarns logo - available for purchase. If you prefer an electronic version, buy your copy directly from Ravelry!
Here's Something We Know You'll Lykke!
We've had a few sets of the brand new Lykke "Driftwood" interchangeable circular needles in the shop intermittently since their debut late last year, but - due to the incredible demand for them - we haven't been able to keep them in stock long enough to tell you about them! They're the hot item in the knitting needle world right now and we finally have a stack large enough to talk about!
Named after the Norwegian word for happiness, LYKKE Crafts combine high quality materials and thoughtful design to produce beautiful, durable, happy-making knitting needles. This beautiful set of interchangeable needles is packaged in a grey waxed denim-effect folding case with a magnetic snap closure and includes:
- 12 pairs of highly polished birch wood needles in each of the following sizes: US 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5, 11, 13, 15, & 17
- 5 cords (two cords for 24", two cords for 32", and 1 cord for 40")
- 2 cord connectors, 4 keys and 8 stoppers
