Backyard Fiberworks & Amazing Day!
New in the store and online: five amazing color combinations, handpicked by Alice herself, the talented hand-dyer behind Backyard Fiberworks! After an extensive search for the perfect pattern to showcase Backyard Fiberworks, we landed on a beautiful, asymmetrically striped crescent shawl: Amazing Day, from Joji Locatelli. If you're comfortable knitting and purling, you can easily knit this gorgeous shawl, which dips into simple eyelets and color changes. Each Amazing Day kit contains one full skein of Sock, 100% Merino Wool (400 yards, fingering weight) and one "Six Pack of Sock", 100% Merino Wool (133 yards each of six colors, 798 yards total, fingering weight). Each kit also contains a hard copy of the Amazing Day pattern.
Our online shop has been updated with a limited number of kits, but we're setting some aside specifically for this weekend's Fiber in the 'Boro festival (see details below). So if you aren't able to attend, grab one while you can! If you ARE coming to the festival, we'll see you Saturday -- we can't wait!!!
*The sample photographed was knit in Dove in a Plum Tree/Storm Cloud combination.
