Fading Point Kits!

If you've been in our store, it's likely you've seen Starting Point from designer Joji Locatelli...it's one of our favorite samples! We knit ours with five different colors of Malabrigo & Old Rusted ChairThis amazing wrap is worked from both ends towards the center with a super fun chevron construction, joined as you work -- no seaming or kitchener required!

Joji has released another pattern, Fading Point, that's very similar in construction to Starting Point, but this time around, the focus is on a gradient color scheme. We met with Nancy -- co-owner of Dream in Color Yarn -- while she here one weekend, and we asked for three different kits specifically dyed for this pattern! We were not disappointed...we think Dream in Color knocked it out of the park!  The Haven color scheme closely approximates the sample shown here, a gradient of moody neutrals with flecks of pink. Hollis is a beautiful take on shades of aqua and Cerise ranges from raspberry to blackberry. It's hard to capture just how gorgeous these are...but, trust us: they are spectacular!

Save the Date: Old Rusted Chair's Birthday Celebration!

What are you doing on Saturday, September 8th? Help us celebrate Lauren, the super-talented lady behind Old Rusted Chair, who'll be celebrating her second anniversary as a full-time dyer! We've stocked Lauren's yarn since June of 2017 and feel incredibly lucky that she and her husband moved cross country to make Nashville their new home. Lauren's yarn is hand-dyed here in Music City and comes in a fantastic palette of variegates, tonals and speckles. Stay tuned for more details, but for now: just save the date! We'll be hosting Lauren in-store from 10am-4pm. She'll be bringing alllll her yarn (maybe even a new one!!), and there'll be new samples to eyeball. And cupcakes, always cupcakes.
