Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: September Edition!

Join us in the store next Monday - September 10th - at 11:00 am for September's Yearlong Knitalong project! This time around, we'll be working on the Clementine Cowl. The Clementine Cowl uses two different skeins of Dyed in the Wool from Spincycle in contrasting colors and is a simple, drapey, slip-stitched colorwork cowl. The slipped-stitch polka dot pattern is a great way to add texture to stockinette fabric. Knit in the round, the finishing couldn't be easier! We have the printed pattern available for purchase or if you prefer an electronic version, buy your copy directly from Ravelry!

 

Not interested in making the Clementine cowl? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-Month Knitalong meets Monday, September 10th - at 1:00 pm. Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. DOUBLE STAMPS! We really do appreciate your participation and want to encourage as many of you to make as many of the monthly projects as possible. Old Rusted Chair's Birthday Celebration!

What are you doing this Saturday, September 8th? Help us celebrate Lauren, the super-talented lady behind Old Rusted Chair, who'll be celebrating her second anniversary as a full-time dyer! We've stocked Lauren's yarn since June of 2017 and feel incredibly lucky that she and her husband moved cross country to make Nashville their new home. Lauren's yarn is hand-dyed here in Music City and comes in a fantastic palette of variegates, tonals and speckles.  We'll be hosting Lauren in-store from 10am-4pm. She'll be bringing alllll her yarn, including her new MCN Sock and there'll be new samples to eyeball. And cupcakes, always cupcakes.

 

Brooklyn Tweed Trunk Show: His Turn

 

Visit Haus through September 9th and get inspired by the new in-store Brooklyn Tweed Men's trunk show! Summer may be in full swing, but it's a perfect time to get started on something for winter gifting! We have eight spectacular samples in the store, all knit in Loft or Shelter. We're particularly fond of the heirloom-quality Auster sweater in Artifact.
