Dawn: A Shop Favorite!

Dawn, from Grace Anna Farrow, is a cleverly constructed stole worked entirely on the bias....or rather, on two biases. The center section is worked in one piece as a triangular shawl, then each half is worked separately on the bias to form a corner, made by clever placement of working increases and decreases – increases in the first section, paired increases and decreases for each of the sides, then corners created by only decreasing.

We've worked it up in four colors of Spinni Wool 1 from Isager, spun in Denmark. We love this single-ply lace-weight wool for its crisp hand and delicious color palette (by Danish designer Marianne Isager) that lends itself to blending as softly heathered tones shift quietly from one to another and reveal themselves in changing light. When your project is done, don't skip the wet blocking step -- it'll help soften, settle, and reveal a beautiful finish. The yarn was engineered to wear better and better with every wash; don’t let the crunch fool you!!

There are over 25 colors available, so head on over to our shop and pick your favorites! A few of our favorite pairings:
