Fresh Off Our Needles: Winter Suns

Winter Suns, newly released in Issue 9 of Laine Magazineis an asymmetrical triangular shawl knit sideways that begins with a small corner formed with an i-cord and shaped by increases along one edge that form the wingspan edge. The shawl is divided into a one-color stockinette section and a colourwork section. Our Kelly was a test knitter for Winter Suns designer Olga Buraya-Kefelian, which means we've got her beautiful handiwork in the shop!

Kelly chose Navia Silkiull in 602 Light Grey for her main color and Queensland Kathmandu DK 100 in Graphite

We played around with yarn options that would more closely resemble Olga's sample and we love pairing three shades of Brooklyn Tweed Arbor (Degas, Mesa & Vintner) along with the smoky pearl grey from Mirasol Sulka Legato!
