Deep South Yarn Hop 2019!

It's finally here!  The 1st annual Deep South Yarn Hop is a nine-day-long event (November 8th-November 16th) during which participants purchase a passport, visit each participating shop, and receive special deals and sales available only to them. Bring your passport to Haus and you'll save between 20 and 40% on your purchase*- but ya gotta bring your passport! Passports are $5/each and serve as your "ticket" of admission -- we've got them in the shop!

Most of the participating shops will have extended hours for the Yarn Hop...look here for those updated hours!!

If you visit each of the participating Hop shops, you'll be entered into a grand prize drawing for over $1000 of yarn/yarn related items! There are daily door prizes at all the shops involved. Follow along here for additional info...and start planning that road trip!

* Exact Haus of Yarn discount determined by random drawing during store visit. Yarn Hop passport discount not applicable to class registration, consignment or sale goods.

2020 YEARLONG KNITALONG: November!

Join us TODAY, November 4th, from 11-noon or this Saturday, November 9th, from 11-noon for the first installment of (and the kick off party for) the 2020 Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong!

We've always selected quick, gift-worthy projects for the months of November and December and keeping that in mind, we're starting with the Mistake Rib Beanie and Scarf. We've found that if you have a fella in your life who's knit-worthy, it's a great go-to project! Pattern is available for purchase in-store and three skeins of Woolfolk Tov is enough yarn to complete both the beanie and the scarf!

We Haven't Forgotten the Afghan Knitalong!

If you’re working on (or wanna begin!) the Afghan Block-a-Month Knitalong, we'll be meeting at 1pm today, Nov. 4th OR this Saturday, Nov. 9th, also at 1pm.  We'll be working from the trusty Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan Knit-A-Long book, created by our fearless founder Carolyn Smith. With 48 blocks to choose from, you have a lot of leeway to make exactly the afghan you want!

Fresh Off Our Needles: Beach Pebbles!

New yarn at the shop usually means a new sample, and we got this one completed in record time! Kelly and Meg processed the shipment of brand new Beach Pebbles on Wednesday, Kelly cast on for the Pebble Beach cowl (free on Ravelry) immediately and the sample was done by Saturday! If you attended this past Saturday's Fiber in the Boro, you may have even seen Kelly wearing it!

Priced at only $6.50 a skein, you'll need two skeins to make this cowl For $13 we like this one A LOT for holiday gifting: it's quick, it's economical, and most of all, it's super cute! Beach Pebbles is a chainette constructed yarn made of 85% pima cotton injected with 15% merino wool during the spinning process, which creates intermittent slubs that knit into a unique raised pebbled texture.
