Fresh off Our Needles: Anker's Summer Shirt

There's been a lot of productive quarantine knitting happening with the Haus crew! Fresh off both Mama Jo & Stephanie's needles is the Anker's Summer Shirt. Why do we love it? Let's put it in bold letters: it has NO finishing other than weaving in your ends! Meg picked Linen Stonewash from Berroco (but Mama Jo knitted it) and Stephanie went with Flax DK from Nashville's own Camellia Fiber Co. Meg is the model with dirty hair and no makeup; Stephanie is the one who put in a little effort. Show off!

Sadly, Linen Stonewash (100% Linen) has been discontinued and current on-hand inventory is all we'll ever see...so hurry and shop the limited selection HERE! Meg is wearing a large (39 1/4")  in Basalt. She also had Mama Jo knit it much shorter than the pattern called for - Meg wanted it cropped! Six skeins was plenty! Stephanie is wearing a medium (37 3/4") in Thistle; you can shop Flax DK HERE! Flax DK is a luscious blend of 50% alpaca, 25% linen and 25% silk.  Click HERE to purchase your pattern from Ravelry.

Calculating yardage may seem a little tricky since you have to convert the pattern's specified grams to yards...see the chart below for help.  Use it to purchase the appropriate number of skeins!  Anker's Summer Shirt is designed with 0-2" of ease, so pick a size no larger than 2" bigger than your actual bust measurement. And remember: your bust measurement is not your bra size, ladies! It's what you measure allll the way around your chest at its fullest! It's easier to explain when you're right in front of us and we can just tell you to raise your arms, yank out a tape to measure you and then tell you what size to make...but you can do it! Miss you!
