Hug Shot!!

June 4th is National Hug Your Cat Day (it's a thing!), but the hilarious knitting designer Casapinka (and her cat Sharon) rechristened the entire weekend "National Hug Your Pet Weekend" to include other pets (shop dog Stanley gives this two dewclaws up). We're going to celebrate it and hope you will too!

The Hug Shot Shawl is an asymmetric rectangle (or “boomerang”) shawl that begins at the small end and ends with a wide border at the opposite end. There are slipped stitches - along with garter and stockinette - making it a fairly easy project.

Each kit contains two skeins of Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere. One skein is tonal and one is skein is a multi - perfectly paired!!

* Full of Joy + Merry Voice (the pairing that most resembles Casapinka's sample photograph) and Lark in the Sky + Words & Looks are both preorders; these two combinations will ship on June 5th. All other color combinations are in stock and are available to ship immediately!

Smooshy with Cashmere is a springy, soft fingering weight yarn. 70% Merino Wool, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon, 400 yards per skein. The pattern for Hug Shot will also be free, via a unique code that will be emailed to you (see below).

Click HERE to shop our Hug Shot kits! You'll need a 24" US 6 needle, need one? Click HERE!

Once you've purchased a kit, we'll email you a code for the pattern (redeemable on Ravelry). We'll email the codes as quickly as possible, but y'all gotta remember that a real live human being is emailing these codes - not a computer. If you shop at 2am, that human is probably sleeping. Please be patient until she's had her coffee; she'll get it to you.

The codes MUST be redeemed between June 5th-June 7th. After that, the code WILL NOT work and you'll be BUYING the pattern. Sooooo...redeem those codes sometime between June 5th and June 7th. Happy knitting and hug your pet!

As of newsletter publication date, the Hug Shot shawl pattern hasn't been uploaded to Ravelry, so we can't link it for you like we normally do. Click HERE to get to Casapinka's Ravelry page. The pattern will be there on the 5th!
