Yearlong Knitalong: October | Fidra

Join us online next Monday, October 5, from 11-noon for October's installment of the 2020 Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong!

Let us know you'll be attending (<--- click that phrase to email us!) and we'll send you the Zoom meeting link in plenty of time for the KAL.

What We're Making

The Fidra hat is a fun, quick knit combining garter stitch and stockinette textures with some decorative eyelets. We'll be demonstrating the German Twisted cast on, how to read charts in the round and why printing your pattern in COLOR is so darned important!

You'll need one skein of Quarry from Brooklyn Tweed or one skein of Cottage from Nutmeg Fibers.

The Sharon Show Mystery Knitalong: Ta-Da!

A mystery no longer! We've finished the Sharon Show mystery knitalong and are thrilled with the results! We've always been smitten with sampler designs, and this one didn't disappoint. Projects like the Sharon Show give you the opportunity to try out various stitch patterns in bite-sized portions! We love how large it blocked out; our finished piece measures 17" W x 66"L -- perfectly sized to wrap around you as you head into fall!
Sharon Show kits are available HERE!

We've chosen three different combos (our sample is in the Azurite option) using Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere, a soft, springy fingering weight yarn. 70% Merino Wool, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon.

Purchase the pattern HEREThe pattern includes instructions for two levels of skill: 1 - Absolute beginner shawl knitter and 2 - Advanced beginner. Don't expect anything too difficult, but do expect a lot of "Netflix knitting." Life is too stressful now for anything else! Join in on the fun!
