Uneek Sock

Last week was a busy one! We're in full swing getting restocked with many of our favorite yarns, several of which came in one big box from Urth Yarns!

We'd sold completely out of the clever Uneek Sock Kits for a bit, but we're thrilled to tell you they're back! Each kit contains two matching pre-wound matching cakes and since they're prewound individually, you'll be able to knit a pair of socks with identically matching stripes! TEN colorways are in stock now, including the new Christmas 2020 limited edition!

Shop Uneek Sock HERE

You might already have a pattern for a basic sock that showcases self-striping yarns beautifully, but just in case...here's a free one - designed specifically for Uneek Sock yarn - that incorporates an afterthought heel with a clever technique that reserves some yarn to help keep those stripes perfectly aligned! Click here for that pattern.

Uneek DK

On the eternal quest for an always-know-where-you-are-in-your-row kind of knitting project?  Shayron worked up a great single-skein one for you! Worked on the bias, this light, airy scarf has the smooth simplicity of stockinette stitch without all the rolling at the edges. It's knit in Urth Yarns Uneek DK, a 100% extra-fine merino wool with 330 yards per skein. This one is hand-dyed in rich, vibrant, self-striping colors, so it'll look like you did a whole lot more than just stockinette stitch! We originally shared this one with you back in September and quickly sold out, but we now have TEN colors back in stock!

Shop Uneek DK HERE! The pattern is free with any skein of Uneek DK and will be included with your online or in-store purchase.

Ours measures 6 1/2" W and 57" L in color # 6005; if you'd like yours a little longer, grab two skeins!

Uneek Cotton DK

Here's another great "when you need some always-know-where-you-are-in-your-row kinda knitting": Hitchhikerworked in Urth Yarns Uneek Cotton, a 100% cotton DK weight self-striping yarn that's perfect for people with wool allergies!

Our sample is worked with just one skein (color 1074) and measures 55 1/2" x 10 1/4". Because the garter stitch knitting starts at one end, you can stop and bind off anytime and end up with a useful neckerchief, shawlette or shawl; it's a perfect project to knock out in between more complicated ones.

The pattern is written for fingering weight yarn, but we used DK, and therefore a larger needle - try it on a US 5! One skein produced 28 "teeth"; if you want it longer, get two skeins and keep on knitting!

Click here to see all fifteen available colors of Uneek Cotton DK! Here's the pattern at Ravelry; if you shop with us in-person, you can purchase it in-store and we'll print it for you!

Uneek Worsted

Grab one skein of Uneek Worsted and whip up this super cute hat! We like this project for its speed, so if multiple handmade gifts are in your future for holiday gifting, this one is highly recommended! Wear it without the brim folded as a slouchy hat, or fold up the ribbed section for a more fitted option.
