New for November: Emiliana

OMG, it's November! A new month brings new stuff to share! Emiliana is a triangular, bias knit shawl with a curved top edge. The interplay of two colors via mosaic knitting and color blocking make this shawl a super-enjoyable knit! The mosaic motif is an easy-to-knit stitch pattern that uses slipped stitches and only one color per row.

Finished blocked measurements are approximately 92 1/2" x 21 1/2". It's large and cozy!

We've kitted up some favorite color combinations. Each kit contains two skeins (one skein each of two colors) of Malabrigo Mechita. Mechita is single-ply hand-dyed 100% superwash merino wool; we love Mechita for it's incredible softness and, oh, the color!

LeRoo Restocks

One of our absolute favorites is back in stock! LeRoo cotton (from Memphis-based dyer Kathleen) has quickly became one of our standbys (and evidently you like it too!). Our go-to baby sweater pattern is the French Macaroon sweater (pattern free on Ravelry). It's knit in simple garter stitch with a sweet boatneck neckline and a one-button closure in the back to allow for easy dressing. Each side is knit in one piece, and a three needle bind off is used to secure the shoulders to each other. Two little seams on each side finish up the sweater. This sweater knits up in no time and - like the delicious sweets it's named after - you might not be able to stop at just one...we sure couldn't! 

Our sample is knit in Crayon Box from LeRoo with Summerlite DK in White from Rowan.

The newborn, 3-month or 6- to 9-month sizes will require one skein of LeRoo, along with one skein of Summerlite DK.
