New This Week: The Crazy Daisy Cowl

The minute we laid eyes on this pattern, we squealed audibly and started picking yarn in like ONE SECOND. There are five new colors from Elsbeth Lavold Silky Wool Aran in the shop this week (bringing the color palette to 21 gorgeous colors). We loudly proclaimed our love for this yarn back in June of last year, when we featured it for the Felix Sweater KAL. Well, we STILL love it! Its blend of wool and silk lends it a soft, light and airy (but still slightly textured) hand.

Knitted as a tube in the round, the Crazy Daisy cowl is not much more than a swath of simple stockinette. After you've completed the knitting, bold daisies are embroidered (using easy old duplicate stitch!) and then the tube is twisted for an additional swirl before joining it into a circle. Its double layer makes it extra warm, so it’s a perfect companion for windy evenings or chilly winter nights.

Shop Elsbeth Lavold Silky Wool Aran HERE! You'll need four balls of your main (background) color, two balls of your petal color and one ball for the flower centers. It's knit using a 16" US 9 needle; if you need one, click HEREYou can find the Crazy Daisy Cowl pattern HERE!
