Yumbrel DK: New in the Haus!

We've just received a glorious shipment of Yumbrel DK from Araucania Yarns! Yumbrel is a colorfully variegated hand-painted yarn that's ideal for spring and summer. Made from 100% combed cotton, Yumbrel DK is an extra-soft option to traditional cotton, making it perfect for garments and accessories. Both the Ashleigh Poncho (above left) and the Crystal Cove Vest (above right) feature patterns written for Yumbrel DK and would make great layering pieces when the air conditioning becomes a bit too much and you need an additional, lightweight layering piece. 

 

The Ashleigh Poncho is a great project for someone who's new to knitting; it's nothing more than a rectangle, a creative fold, a teensy seam and then...voila: poncho! The Small/Medium requires three skeins while the Large/X-Large and the 2X-Large/3X-Large requires four skeins.

 

The Crystal Cove Vest is an intermediate project; you work the allover lace back panel, then stitches are picked up to knit the fronts, with just a little front shaping; the result is a stylish v-neck vest! XS and Small require two skeins, medium to 1X require three skeins and the 2X requires four skeins. Unsure about which size to make? Find those measurements here!
