Happy Feet 100 Splash + Rose City Rollers!

We've definitely noticed an uptick in the number of people looking for easy, portable projects for summertime travel plans! This one isn't a new pattern, but it fits the bill perfectly: Rose City Rollers is an easy, roll-top ankle sock pattern perfect for summer knitting. These socks are knit from the top down, with a traditional heel flap and heel turn, and are available in three sizes. It's a great pattern for beginning sock knitters, and a fun quick knit for more advanced ones.

Choose a skein of Plymouth Happy Feet Splash, a luscious, soft blend of merino wool with a touch of nylon for added strength, hand-dyed with bright, colorful dyes that give a fun, funky vibe to your project.

The Kitchener Sock Fob is just what you need to remember how to work the Kitchener stitch on those sock toes!  A little chain attaches this wooden sock to a knitting bag or keychain so it's always easy to find!

If you hear yourself growling whenever you see the words "double points," you might like knitting smaller circumferences using a 9" circular needle instead. While there are several methods of working smaller circumferences, there's no "right" way or "wrong" way...just different ways! You should try them all and figure out which method is the "right" one for YOU!

After a lot of trial and error, Meg realized that the only way you could possibly talk her into making a sock was with a 9" circular and she hasn't looked back. Haus is now stocking the teeny sizes of ChiaoGoo 9" circulars in both bamboo and metal!

New Old Rusted Chair Sock Colors!

This past week, Lou from Old Rusted Chair dropped off a fresh order of her gorgeous hand-dyed sock yarn! We got a restock of many of the tried-and-true favorites plus some fabulous newer colors that Lou's been working on, including Please Welcome to the Stage, Petrichor, They Sell Seashells, Parallax View and Upload.

We used a skein of Old Rusted Chair's Ridin' the Storm Out and paired it with a skein of Happy Feet 100 Splash in Autumn for the 2 Color Socks from designer Joji Locatelli. Another great portable project for summertime travel plans, these are
knit cuff-down with a heel flap and adorned with beautifully simple knit and purl textures and lace.
