GR8 Gingham Hat

Jessie Maed Designs released recently released two new patterns featuring a classic gingham motif: the GR8 Gingham Raglan Sweater and this adorable GR8 Gingham Hat. We love them both and have decided to cast on for the hat first since it utilizes the same gauge and decrease technique as the sweater. It'll be great practice and we'll consider it our swatch (wink, wink, hint, hint: always swatch!).

We think it'd be great in Brooklyn Tweed's Arbor!

Shop Arbor HERE! The small and medium size need one skein each of two different colors. The large needs three skeins total; two of the main color, one of the contrast color.

You can find the GR8 Gingham patterns (both hat and sweater) HERE!

Cloudbow Pullover

The new issue of Pom Pom Quarterly - Spring 2022 - is out and all we can say is "WOW!" It's packed full of fresh patterns for spring and we couldn't be more thrilled!

One sweater in particular had our fingers itching to cast on: the Cloudbow Pullover. We love the idea of using two silk mohair yarns in the same color with slightly varying values for a subtle striped look. The sweater is worked modularly starting with the front and back body panels. Two rectangles of equal size are made first, then stitches are picked up along the short edges of each panel for sleeves, then stitches are picked up evenly around the lower edge of the body for the peplum. Adorable!
