Chai: New Colors and Great Projects!

We've been busy transitioning the store from fall and winter into spring and summer, and this week we've got a few new colors of a shop favorite - Chai - and some pattern ideas that make great use of it to share with you!

Chai from Berroco is a dk weight yarn made with a summery blend of 56% linen and 44% silk. Since the two fibers absorb the dye differently, the resulting fabric has a slightly stonewashed look with a tiny bit of sheen, and the linen gives it that perfect summery drape. Here are a few great projects using Chai; just click the project names!

  • We love the everyday wearability of the Bonnie Tee, which has an elegant lace motif that begins at the neck edge and then trails into the bodice. Pattern includes sizing from 34" to 70" and is intended to be worn with 2-4" of positive ease.
  • The Patti Tank has a flattering a-line silhouette with a handkerchief hem giving it just the right amount of swing and sway for summer. Pattern includes sizing from 34" to 70" and is intended to be worn with 2-4" of positive ease.
  • The Vivian Shawl has an elegant allover lace motif that would make for an excellent layering piece. Four skeins are required to complete Vivian.
