Brighton Beach: Perfect for a Poncho!

It's no secret that we adore the Easy Folded Poncho, so we're sharing another gorgeous shop sample. This time around, we've used Brighton Beach from Queensland Yarns - a sport weight blend of 45% linen, 35% cotton, 20% acrylic, with a slight thick-and-thin texture. It's the quintessential spring/summer yarn and softens up significantly with each washing...which is no-fuss since it’s machine washable! The Easy Folded Poncho is easy to knit (it's just one long stockinette rectangle), easy to finish, and easy to throw on! We knit this one a bit longer than the pattern outlines...this one is worked to 64" before folding and seaming!

Shop Brighton Beach HERE! Our sample is knit in #07 Orange Cup Coral; three skeins are required to complete your poncho!  You'll need a 24" US 6 needle; click HERE if you need one

Need the pattern? Click HERE to purchase directly from Ravelry.

If you also love the dress Sue's wearing, we can help with that: we stock them in the shop! Our order for these took awhile to arrive but it was definitely worth the wait. And since they're made from certified 100% linen (in Lithuania), the timing worked out perfectly! Who doesn't love the perfect linen dress to compliment handknit cardigans and shawls? Loose fitting, dropped waist, round neck...and the best part: pockets! Machine wash in lukewarm or cold water on a gentle cycle, tumble dry on low heat or hang dry for best results. We've got five gorgeous colors in stock, click HERE to see them!

Cumulus Degrade ~ New!

We've shared this adorable baby blanket (knit using Cumulus Rainbow "Tropical Sunset" from Juniper Moon Farm) previously, but we have a new batch of color options for you! For spring 2022...Cumulus Degradé! It's got the same amazing softness as Rainbow but now there are these gorgeous tonal ombrés.

There are loads of amazingly soft yarns out there, but Cumulus Degradé really will have you exclaiming, "that is sooooo soft!" Cumulus is a cloud-like worsted weight, chainette cotton yarn with a touch of nylon for durability. Using two cakes of it, we started knitting from the outside of cake #1 and then continued working cake #2 from the center out, (which keeps the ombre color sequence seamless). Our blanket is 23" wide by 33" long - a perfect size for a car seat baby blanket.

Shop Cumulus Degradé HERE! You'll need two cakes if you want to make this spectacular blanket. Degradé is insanely gorgeous, but if you'd prefer that original Rainbow colorway, click HERE!

You'll need a 24" US 9 circular needle and a couple of stitch markers!
