Baby Surprise Jacket + Rowan Summerlite DK

We just received a restock of a shop fave - Rowan Summerlite DK; it's a 100% cotton yarn with a beautiful soft, matte finish. While you could use this yarn for just about any project - shawls, tees, blankets, dishcloths - we love our sample of the Baby Surprise Jacket!

Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Baby Surprise Jacket has become near-legendary since its conception in 1968, from the newsletter #21. The jacket is knit in a single piece, then cleverly folded and completed with just two seams that run across the shoulders and down the length of the sleeves. It includes extra ease across the back of the garment to fit well over a diaper.

Shop Rowan Summerlite DK HERE! You'll need three to complete your Baby Surprise Jacket. We have a handful of printed, paper copies of the pattern, find those HERE. If you'd prefer the pattern digitally...you can find that HERE.
