New Month = New Monthly Make!

For June's make, we're working on the Mohave Slouchy Tote Bag from designer Jessica Reeves Potasz. This bag is made by first knitting a rectangular base, then picking up stitches around the base and knitting in the round. Stitches are then split to work the shaping at the top and then again at the handles. The entire bag is knit while holding two strands of yarn together. We chose two superstar shades of Remix for our sample. Because the entire Remix line is made from 100% recycled fibers (meaning: no wool for those with allergies!!), it's machine washable and is a great tran-seasonal blend that's comfortable year-round. Shop Remix HERE! You'll need three skeins for your main color and two skeins for your contrast color.
The Mohave Slouchy Tote Bag pattern is available for purchase on Etsy HERE!If you're local to the Middle Tennessee area, feel free to join us Monday, June 5th at 11am for The Monthly Make meet-up! Not local? Join us in spirit, cast on whenever the mood strikes you, and just make something!Monthly Makes are archived HERE

Rainbow Love

We introduced you to the new line of Ricorumi Spin Spin back in February, but we just now got to steal a little time to work up a sample to show off these mighty color gradients! Spin Spin is a DK weight cotton, perfectly sized for a single facecloth/dishcloth at 125 yards/cake. Knit this iconic dishcloth from corner to corner in garter stitch by using some simple increases and decreases. All colors in the line are color gradients - some are tone-on-tone, while others contain multiple colors within the same ball.

Shop Ricorumi Spin Spin Here! One cake will yield one cloth and the pattern is included with any Spin Spin purchase.

Tykk Line + New Colors + Augusta Singlet + Deschain

We love Tykk Line for the same reasons we love the original worsted version...and with the added benefit of a chunky weight, your projects will fly off your needles! Wondering why we love it so much? Because the entire Line line is made with a cotton/viscose/linen blend (meaning no wool, which is good news for those of you with wool allergies!), it's machine washable and it's a blend that offers the soft, absorbent properties of cotton and viscose, combined with the cool feeling of linen.

The Augusta Singlet (top) is a beginner-friendly pattern. It's worked bottom-up to the underarms, then the front and back are finished separately.

Sizing/Yarn Quantities for the Augusta Singlet:
Note: all measurements are for the finished garment; that is, your combined personal body measurements plus movement allowance. Choose a size that suits your preference.
32.5" (33.5, 36.5, 39.75, 43, 47, 49) bust circumference = 5(6,6,7,8,8,9) skeins of Tykk Line

Our Deschain sweater obsession from 2017 continues! Designed with plenty of ease for a relaxed fit, this cropped boxy pullover is worked flat and then seamed.  Just as the previous samples we made...we omitted knitting the sleeves. It's already ninety-nine gazillion degrees outside and Meg doesn't want any unnecessary fabric touching her!

Sizing/Yarn Quantities for the Deschain:
Note: all measurements are for the finished garment; that is, your combined personal body measurements plus movement allowance. Choose a size that suits your preference.
54¼" (60, 65¾, 71½, 77¼, 82¾, 88½)" bust circumference = 8(11,13,15,16,18,20) skeins of Tykk Line
