Welcome Alexandra Art of Yarn to Haus of Yarn!

The most beautiful bundles of yarn arrived this week from a new-to-us maker, Alexandra Art of Yarn. Each bundle includes a full skein of a beautiful draping silver base (436 yards of 65% super wash Merino, 15% yak and 20% silk) and six gradient dyed minis; five of the minis come in at 92 yards each while the sixth (the darkest one) has 82 yards and just a kiss of Sparkly Stellina! Sparkle yarns are always difficult to capture in photography...but trust us, there's a bit of glitz in there, and we are here for it!

Each bundle's paper ballband contains a coupon code that works for an astounding FIVE free patterns! You'll find the pattern on Ravelry, then enter your coupon code and print away!

We shared these with you earlier in July, promptly sold out, reordered and added a few new designs! New Month = New Monthly Make!

For August's make, we're revisiting a Haus favorite. We'll be working on the most adorable pair of Baby Booties! We call them the Nashville Best Booties -- they're fun to make and they're a quick knit...and, best of all, they stay on!

The pattern utilizes fingering weight yarn, worked on US2 needles (straights or circulars). The booties are worked flat, then seamed. We'll be using Milo, from Lana Gatto. Milo is a super high-quality 100% mercerized, fingering weight cotton yarn in a beautiful palette of colors and is perfect for anything baby-related.
