The Sock Project + Oink Pigments Pigtails
Oklahoma native and proud member of the Muscogee-Creek Nation Summer Lee shares her knitting secrets for creating all shapes and sizes of socks with dots, zigzags, stripes, and a near-neon palette of happy colors.
Sock projects are universally loved by knitters, but popular creator Summer Lee has turned this favorite pastime topsy turvy with designs that feature the most electric colors and "wow" patterns anyone's ever dreamt up!
The Sock Project is a book for every crafter: beginners who want to learn, knitters who want to improve their sock skills, and anyone who wants to load up their knitting needles—and sock drawers—with jazzy colors and new designs.
Build your skills month-by-month with 12 levels of sock knitting. First, start with the humble-but-mighty Basic Sock, then try more complicated patterns for lace socks, cabled socks, socks with Estonian Inlay, and socks done in stranded knitting. You’ll be able to sample 18 fresh and zippy patterns, plus new variations on favorite designs! The Sock Project is a joyful Starburst-color explosion for adventurous knitters everywhere.
We adore the Multicolor Stripes pattern featured in the book. Grab a handful of Oink Pigment Minis in your absolute favorite colors and create a truly unique pair of socks for yourself!

LYS Day: Kickin' it off EARLY!
Local Yarn Store Day is coming up quick - Saturday, April 27th - and we're thrilled to share with you these limited edition yarns, dyed exclusively for Haus by three inspiring local women.
Why are we offering these so early in the month? We'll be donating 10% of sales from the exclusive colors dyed specifically for LYS Day to The Heimerdinger Foundation and to maximize the potential donation, we want to expand the possible amount beyond a single day's worth!
The Heimerdinger Foundation provides an invaluable service for those undergoing cancer treatments in Nashville by providing nutrient-rich meals to patients fighting cancer during a time when eating right can make all the difference. While Meg's Mom was in the thick of her treatments last year, a team delivered delicious meals directly to her home each week. With a caring card and nutritional information tucked inside, the bag of nutrient-dense meals removed the worry of meal preparation and provided support along the journey.
Rin from MoFibers, Lou from Old Rusted Chair, and Silbia from Camellia Fiber Co have each dyed up gorgeous yarn to help get us to our goal and we'd be tickled if we sold out before April 27th. Scroll to the next three stories to find about alllll about this gorgeous collection of specific-to-Haus yarn!
We have some fun in-store pop-ups planned for April 27th as well, though, and we'll be sharing those with you next week...stay tuned for updates. LYS Day will be fantastic no matter how or when you join us!

LYS Day: Camellia Fiber Company
Our great friend Silbia from Camellia Fiber Co. (CFC) dyed up a massive batch of Love, Camellia on her Sōm DK base. Sōm is a lovely blend of Alpaca and Pima Cotton; both are fibers we usually associate with drape, but the chainette construction of this yarn adds loft and structure to this supersoft blend.
50% Pima Cotton / 42% Baby Alpaca / 8% Merino / DK weight / 164yds / 150m

Master natural dyer and color wizard Rin from MoFibers dyed up Zinnias 2024 on three different bases! Zinnias 2024 is naturally dyed using zinnias from Meg's garden and marigolds and cosmos from Rin's...you can't get more local than that!
- MoFibers Summer Silk is a DK/heavy sport weight raw silk yarn. It's soft and slightly nubby to the touch, and - unlike most silk - has a matte look without the usual silk sheen. It's a great yarn for spring to summer, giving it its name. 100% raw silk noil / 4 ply / 300 yds / 100 g
- MoFibers Silky Fingering is a fingering weight superwash merino and silk blend. Single ply, high twist, and silky smooth with beautiful drape and a slight sheen that adds depth of color. 70% superwash Merino / 30% Silk / 438 yds / 100 g
- MoFibers Lace Mohair is a lace weight, non-superwash kid mohair and silk blend. Fluffy, soft, and perfect alone or for holding double to create a halo effect. 72% Kid Mohair / 28% Silk / 459 yds / 50 g
