Monthly Make: Market Square Bag

May's Monthly Make is the Market Square bag. This practical market bag is perfect for a quick trip to the grocery or farmers market, and would also make an amazing bag for toting your current knitting project! The pattern includes instructions for two sizes and is written using two different colors of Cairns. Our sample is a slight variation; rather then two different colors of Cairns, we used one color of Cairns as our main color and a solid from Biosoft as our contrast color.Shop Cairns HERE! Biosoft is HEREFor the small size tote (8"x8'x7"), you'll need one skein each of two different colors and for the large tote (10"x10"x10") you'll need two skeins of your main color and one skein of a contrasting color. The Market Square pattern can be found HERE and you'll need a US 7 circular needle. 24" for the small and 32" for the large.Monthly Makes are archived HERE

Elton Cardigan + MoFibers

We've got a new shop sample to share! Natural dyer and color wizard Rin from MoFibers dyed an extra special color using zinnias from Meg's garden (and marigolds and cosmos from her own) and the finished cardigan is exquisite...light as a feather with incredible drape.

The Elton Cardigan is a basic cardigan with a mix of stripes and texture. It has a relaxed boxy fit and is slightly cropped. It’s worked seamlessly from the top down. The stripes are created by alternating between MoFibers Silky Fingering and MoFibers Lace Mohair. Silky Fingering is a fingering weight superwash merino and silk blend. Single ply, high twist, and silky smooth with beautiful drape and a slight sheen that adds depth of color. 70% superwash Merino / 30% Silk / 438 yds / 100 g while Lace Mohair is a lace weight, non-superwash kid mohair and silk blend. Fluffy, soft, and perfect alone or for holding double to create a halo effect. 72% Kid Mohair / 28% Silk / 459 yds / 50 g
