Champagne Cardigan Knitalong
One of the most admired samples in the shop has to be the Champagne Cardigan from designer PetiteKnit. Worked from the top down with raglan increases on the yoke and featuring a deep V-neck, holding two strands of yarn together (one strand of Sandnes Garn Double Sunday and one strand of Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair) produces an incredibly soft fabric. There's just something magical about how that laceweight strand of silk mohair adds so much squishy softness to the fabric!
And here's your chance to join Alison for an in-person, guided knitalong featuring the Champagne Cardigan. The five-session KAL: January 25th, February 8th and 22nd, March 8th and 22nd, each session from 10am until noon. $100 instructional fee; materials not included.

The Sophie Scarf
Winter finally arrived here in Nashville last week. On Monday we had a few flurries and then on Friday... real snow! Even indoors, we were a little chilled and found ourselves reaching for the ever-popular Sophie Scarf. I think we're up to four samples now and have plans for more; the Sophie is just perfect for keeping the back of your neck warm on chilly days, without the bulk and weight of a massive scarf. Worked tip to tip in garter stitch with built-in i-cord edges. These are quick (!!) and we truly love the simplicity of the design.
Written for DK weight yarn, you could use a single strand of whatever speaks to you or - like our samples - hold strands of two favorites to create your very own original color combination!
Combination 1 uses Laines du Nord Eco Baby in Ecru held with Malabrigo Mohair in Diana.
Combination 2 uses Malabrigo Ultimate Sock in Under the Sea held with Malabrigo Mohair in Under the Sea
