Vest Barcelona in Knitting for Olive

There's no way you could have visited us in the store over the last few weeks and not noticed Meg's fantastic Vest Barcelona by Mochiknits. Or should we say vests? Because there is more than one and she hasn't been seen in anything else since she got these made.

The Barcelona Vest is knit top down, with decorative increases at the shoulders that create a gorgeous faux seam line. Designed with a slightly "oversized fit" with a deep neckline and armholes, it's perfect for layering over all those adorable puffy sleeve shirts that are trending right now.

Meg can't quit making it in Knitting for Olive's Heavy Merino, which is rapidly becoming a Haus of Yarn heart-eyes go-to favorite.
Heavy Merino is made from 100% traceable, non-mulesed Merino wool. Heavy Merino is super strong, long-lasting and wears really well (it's spun in a way that minimizes pilling). It’s great for sweaters, as you can tell!

You can find the pattern right HERE, and you can get your hands on Knitting for Olive's Heavy Merino right HERE. Meg's wearing her Cream version in the second size (with a finished bust measurement of 39.5"; you'll need five skeins), in the glamorous modeling shots above...but there are over 20 colors!

65 South Bags: A New Batch!

We've told you before how tough keeping 65 South bags in stock can be. But we're always thrilled when we get a brand-spanking new batch, because we get brand-spanking new favorites!

The new batch for spring leans on modern florals (we really cannot choose a favorite; they're all fantastic), a whimsical chicken pattern (in two colorways!) and a verrrry adorable little owl.

65 South totes feature a woven outer fabric and a natural cotton duck canvas interior (which makes it easy to see those notions!). The veg-tanned leather handles will darken beautifully over time. These bucket bags are 11" tall x 17" wide x 8" deep and feature generously-sized inside pockets to keep tools tidy and your pattern in its place. And y'all, they're handmade in Alabama...along 65 South, duh.Shop 65 South Bucket Bags HERE!

A Whole Litter of Ricorumi Puppies...Plus Bunnies!

New to our shelves is a fantastic group of amigurumi "puppies" (spoiler alert: they're not all puppies) from Ricorumi in a book called (wait for it) "Puppies." The collection includes patterns for a little tiger, a kitty, a lion, some bunnies and - yes - a handful of puppies. It is a beyond adorable collection of patterns and we feel like the more we make, the happier we are!

One reason we love these little amigurumi projects is how big of a bang you get for your buck. If you already have a crochet hook, each of these "puppy" projects comes in under twenty bucks yarn-wise.

For the brown bunny pictured above, you'll need three balls in Nougat, one in White and one in Rose. For the grey bunny, you'll need two Silver Grey, one White and one Rose. Both are worked with a 3mm hook. Add a set of eyes, and a little bit of stuffing and you're all set! Except for the making...which you can totally do.

You can find the yarn RIGHT HERE. 3mm hooks are HERE, and teeny-tiny eyes are HERE. Add the Ricorumi Puppies book to your collection right HERE.
