Camellia Rainbow Sprinkles
Just once a year! It only happens once a year! Silbia at Camellia Fiber Co dyes up a batch of her gorgeous Rainbow Sprinkles for Pride Month - and we squeal with delight when we open the box every time!
It's hard to capture in photos how beautiful this is, but every color of the rainbow is represented in speckles against a backdrop of natural-hued yarn. We took a skein each of Organic Worsted and Suri Lace and worked up The Rainbow Sprinkles Cowl. It's an easy piece - just knits and purls - worked flat, then twisted and seamed for a Möbius look. We held a single strand of Organic Worsted along with two strands of Suri Silk Lace; the result is kitten-soft! You'll need one skein of Organic Worsted and one skein of Suri Silk Lace to complete your cowl; the Rainbow Sprinkle Cowl pattern is free with any Rainbow Sprinkles Worsted yarn purchase.
We've also got a great sample of cute little baby loafers worked up in Rainbow Sprinkles Organic Worsted. What we most love about the Wee Woodland Loafer pattern is that the loafer comes off your needles with ZERO seaming or further finishing (short of weaving in those ends). Short row shaping is incorporated for the heel and toe; these slippers are designed to fit and stay on.
Silbia at CFCo donates 10% of Rainbow Sprinkles sales - both retail and wholesale - to The Trevor Project, so we were happy to load up! Pop in and see it all!

One Gorgeous Koigu Restock, Three Gorgeous Samples
We're longtime devotees (and stockists!) of Koigu’s KPPPM (Painter's Palette Premium Merino), which is practically the original gangster when it comes to hand-painted variegated yarn. Thanks to the profusion of these yarns these days (but really: no one does it like Koigu), the days of being stumped by what to use it for are long gone...and we've got three gorgeous samples on-hand that really show it off.
The Koigu Linen Stitch Scarf requires three skeins of Koigu to achieve the effect shown here; choose skeins that when combined utilize as many different colors as possible. Our sample uses a skein that is mostly pinks, a skein that has loads of blues and another skein that's primarily yellow and green. The magic of the linen stitch is that it'll blend all of those varying colors harmoniously. End result: a true heirloom.
Barb's Koigu Ruffle Scarf uses two skeins of Koigu worked lengthwise and has always been one of our favorite shop models. It's effortless to style, and TRUST US when we tell you that you'll receive zillions of compliments. Verdict: Beyond adorable.
These Stay-On Baby Booties require one skein and the ribbed cuff and tie help them stay on even the most active of little feet. Little ties slipped through a row of eyelets keep these booties on, even during a good kick! We like the simplicity of twisted cord or crocheted chain ties, but you can embellish them with beautiful ribbons to bump up the “awwww” factor at baby showers.
