A Free Filigree!
A Noro triple whammy: a new Noro magazine, a new Noro yarn and a new Noro pattern...all in the same week! We'll make sure to buy a lottery ticket too!
A fresh addition to the Noro family is their gorgeous Ohajiki, a worsted weight cotton/silk/wool/viscose blend (50/20/15/15). "Ohajiki" is the name of a traditional Japanese children's game similar to marbles, but played with flattened, coin-shaped pieces of ceramic, glass, or sea glass. The colorways of Ohajiki (yarn) are reminiscent of the way those game pieces look with light passing through them. Each ball embarks on a color journey of happiness and conjures up the simple pleasures of childhood.
That's a fancy way of saying it's perfect for tops, shawls, summer dresses, and beyond! With that in mind...we're absolutely smitten with Rosemary Drysdale's Filigree; it's perfect as a layerable, slip-on-able tank or beach cover-up. Constructed from two rectangles of an uncomplicated four-row eyelet repeat, the simple shape drapes beautifully thanks to the open mesh fabric - and it's got groovy deep side vents!
While we'll include a printed Filigree pattern with sweater-quantity purchases of Ohajiki (see chart below for size/yarn requirement guidance), it's also in the new Spring/Summer Noro magazine (Issue 26), along with a couple of dozen other patterns for knitters and crocheters. It's an issue chock-full of inspiration!
Find Ohajiki RIGHT HERE. We've got it in six spectacular colorways (the tunic in the photo uses #12 Mobara). Remember, we'll include a printed pattern for the Filigree Tunic when you buy the yarn for it.

Say Hi to Sabai
It's funny how a single pattern shows up in everyone's to-do queue all at once and the one that's doing that right now seems to be Susanne Müeller's Sabai! A perfect light tank for summer with a flattering boatneck we simply can't get enough of, it's a great piece for beginners (if you can stockinette, you can do ette!) that hits the sweet spot between "simple" and "classic" - you'll wear it for many many summers to come.
The pattern has two variations: one with ribbed borders, one without. It's amazing how a simple change creates such a difference...the first is classic and traditional, the second a little sleeker and contemporary. Knit it both ways! Worked up in Sandnes Garn's cotton/viscose/linen Line Worsted, we love it in almost any color - both Black and Raspberry Cream make great, dramatic statements - but don't sleep on those newer Line shades. It'd also be fantastic in creamy, dreamy lighter neutrals. Refer to the chart below for sizing/skein number assistance!

Whoop Whoop for the Lacey Loop!
If you want something with a little bit of fancy detail, rotate your eyeballs over to the Lacey Loop Tee, a classic over-sized tee with a round neck and delicate eyelet "stripes."
You'll hold two strands of Knitting for Olive's Pure Silk together for this one. Spun with 100% bourette silk, Pure Silk is perfect for warm weather tops, tanks, cardigans, wraps and scarves. It's a gorgeous yarn crafted from waste created during silk processing. It's got a relaxed, matte finish that's ideal for projects that straddle the sophisticated/casual line -- it can go either way!
Powder is a great color choice for a neutral Lacey Loop, but do take a look at the other Pure Silk shades we've got in stock; Knitting for Olive's got a certain something when it comes to their color palette and there are no wrong choices. Refer to the chart below for sizing/skein number assistance!
