Take the Mystery out of Machine Knitting!

First up this week - because time is of the essence for this! - is us letting you know that friend-of-Haus Anna Haferman is once again offering her Machine Knitting for Beginners class starting on Monday, October 13. It's a six-week class, and you can grab a spot via THIS LINK.

Meg took this class a couple of years ago and learned quite a bit; it's a great class!  Anna has been machine knitting for many years and is a founding member of the Nashville Machine Knitters group. And she's YouTube famous (!!!); her popular YouTube channel features machine knitting tutorials on flatbed knitting machines.

Again, class begins October 13. Knitting machines will be provided for use in class. Interested? Grab a class ticket HERE

Now...On to Yarn Talk. And There's a Lot of It.

OK now. Lots of info this week and we've got more combo suggestions than a Wendy's drive-thru menu. So settle in, y'all! And yes, you do want fries with that.

Jonna Helin's Laine X Novita yarn collection has arrived and is splashed up on the wall, ready for you to get all misty-eyed over - we certainly did. Both yarns - the DK and the 4-ply Fingering - pair beautifully (almost eerily close in a few cases) with various mohair options, and we're taking up some newsletter real estate to show you four new Jonna Helin patterns written specifically for this launch: three that make the most of that bit of yarn combination serendipity plus a fourth that just uses DK by itself.

All four patterns are available via Ravelry (just follow the linked pattern names); yardage info is helpfully given on each pattern's Ravelry page.

Drive around to the first window for more information! Or, uh, just scroll down.

Two New Yarns, Two New Patterns:
Stormfell and Haworth in Laine X Novita DK + Laceweight Mohair

The Stormfell sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down and features both a relaxed drop-shoulder silhouette and a sculptural turtleneck – simple, but striking.

Designed with everyday ease in mind, Haworth is the kind of cardigan you'll reach for again and again: a reliable favorite that layers effortlessly over dresses, shirts or simple tees. The relaxed fit, textured stitch pattern and clean lines make it equally at home in quiet moments at your desk or out on blustery walks.

New Pattern: Mosspath in Laine X Novita DK

This one is written for Laine x Novita DK only; no holding double! You can scroll back up just a bit to see the DK shades (lefthand side of each photo).

The Mosspath cardigan is a true wardrobe staple: a piece you can wear anywhere and everywhere, from casual everyday moments to more formal occasions.

Worked seamlessly from the top down, Mosspath features a contemporary European shoulder construction and a shallow V-neckline. The button band is finished with a neat double-knitting technique, giving the garment a clean, polished edge that holds its shape beautifully.

AND ONE MORE NEW PATTERN:
Moorberry in Laine X Novita 4-Ply Fingering + Laceweight Mohair

All of the colorway combos shown in the DK + mohair combos up above (just scroll back in case you forgot) are also available in 4ply fingering + mohair...plus a handful of additional ones!

The 4ply fingering and mohair yarns combine for a gorgeous popover called Moorberry - they call it a vest but frankly, we think it's more of a refreshing take on a tee thanks to those little whispers of sleeves. Knitted mostly seamlessly from the top down, Moorberry features a European shoulder construction that offers both structure and fluidity. The intuitive shaping and modern silhouette make it an enjoyable knit for a wide range of skill levels.

ALSO NEW: Jaspaeda! Perfect for the Posey Cowl

Jaspaeda has been on the wall for a couple of weeks and - in that mysterious way knitters and crocheteres can always sniff out the new stuff - y'all are finding it, but we're gonna highlight it this week anyway!

Crafted from a blend of 50% superfine alpaca, 35% wool, and 15% recycled polyamide, Jaspaeda is a bulky-weight yarn that combines plush softness with eco-conscious innovation in every 109-yard skein.

Jaspaeda is perfect for a shop stalwart: the Posey Cowl. Designed by Haus' own Kendall Bock, Posey is designed for beginning crocheters as a skill builder project, but it's a fun project for advanced crocheters as well! You'll need two skeins for your own Posey Cowl. Our sample was worked up in the color Laguna Colorado by our friend Kathy....thanks, darlin'!
