Newsletter 900
After two newsletters of what felt like non-stop sweater talk, this week's newsletter - our 900th! OMG, so many ways to say "squishy" over the years! - is chock full of accessories that bring a little bit of affordable luxury into our world! Cashsilk Light is the key component in all three, and we love it for its magical ability to bring warmth to the table (or your neck!) while staying as light as a feather. Plus: cashmere! Cashsilk Light's magnificently soft blend of 70/20/10 Merino, silk, and cashmere gives off the slightest little halo. Find all colors of Cashsilk Light RIGHT HERE...and keep reading for ideas about what the heck to do with it!
Silk Scarf with Tassel
The simply-named Silk Scarf with Tassel is just that: a swath of stockinette worked on a biggish 6mm/US10 with a couple of super-dramatic oversized tassels to create a long, drape-able showstopper.
You only need two balls of Cashsilk Light to make this, and we'll include a printed copy of the pattern whenever you buy two. You'll need to put the phrase "tassel scarf pattern, please" in the "Add Order Note" area during checkout so we'll know to include it!
Choose two balls of your favorite Cashsilk Light color RIGHT HERE. And don't forget to include the request for the pattern during checkout!

Pressed Flowers in Cashsilk Light and Prestige
If you've been tempted (but maybe intimidated!) by Amy Christoffers' Pressed Flowers designs...have we got a solution for you! Dip your toes in the lake of Pressed Flowers with the Pressed Flowers Kerchief! It's a great test of your mosaic knitting skills (spoiler: it's ridiculously easy) and this bite-sized kerchief project might give you the confidence you need to tackle the whole bouquet of Christoffers' Pressed Flowers patterns. The kerchief also works up pretty quickly; you might put it on your list of makeable-gift-ideas
The kerchief pattern is free via Ravelry. We knit ours using one skein each of Cashsilk Light (in Carnation) and Lana Gatto Prestige (in Forest), but Pressed Flowers looks great in almost any combination.
Again, the pattern is free on Ravelry and it's RIGHT HERE. You can find Cashsilk Light HERE. Lana Gatto Prestige is HERE. You only need one each of two different colors.

Essential Stripes Scarf
For whatever reason, punchy graphic projects are relatively scarce (we said relatively), which is one reason we love the Essential Stripes Scarf. Simply alternating bright stripes of color in varying widths creates a "wow" moment and lends a little youthful punkiness to just about any ensemble.
Essential Strips is a simple stockinette tube worked in the round with seamed ends. The pattern is written for a worsted weight yarn; if you want yours to be as light as a feather and look just like ours (and sorry, but why wouldn't you?), ignore that and use a single strand of Cashsilk Light on a US8 needle (follow the pattern verbatim aside from that).
Our Essential Stripes uses two each of four colors of Cashsilk Light. We've replaced the Bubblegum pink in the sample with a slightly softer Carnation in our color combo suggestions. But think about other possibilities as well (they're essentially endless) and see what vibe works best for you. And look: if you're a "Triple N" (Never-Not-Neutral), Essential Stripes is super-sophisticated in a Grey, Dark Grey, Silver and Cream combo. It basically looks like a million bucks no matter which four you choose.
You can find the Essential Stripes Scarf pattern RIGHT HERE.
Cashsilk Light is RIGHT HERE. You need eight balls: two each of four colors.
