The Parthenon Shawl in Camellia FIber Co.'s Sylvan
Our great friend Silbia stopped by with a major restock of her Camellia Fiber Co. Sylvan this week, so it's the perfect time to remind you about a shop stalwart called The Parthenon Shawl, designed by late Haus mother Jo. Worked up in less than two skeins of Sylvan, this fingering-weight shawl is perfect for chilly museums or breezy dining patios. Parthenon begins with a garter tab set-up and then alternates between stockinette and lace sections. Sylvan's 70/20/10 blend of alpaca, silk and cashmere gives it a lovely, subtle dreamy "haze" that you won't be able to keep your hands off of.
Our sample is worked up in Natural Grey, but we've got Sylvan in almost all of Camellia's unmistakeable palette of colors; you can see those RIGHT HERE. Remember: you only need two skeins. You can find the Parthenon pattern RIGHT HERE.

The Thistle Scarf in Camellia Suri + Sylvan
Silbia also restocked us with Camellia's Suri Alpaca Silk Lace. Both above-mentioned Sylvan and Suri are gorgeous on their own, but we almost pass out whenever we see the two of them held together. Well! Pull up the fainting couches because the Thistle Scarf we have in the shop does just that.
Also designed by Mama Jo, the Thistle Scarf is a straightforward long rectangular scarf with a couple of variations on thistle-motif lace on each end - just enough to require a little focus at the beginning and end of the project..but in between? Smooth stockinette sailing!
Suri Lace is great "halo" yarn alternative to mohair if mohair is an allergy issue for you. It's made of 74% Baby Suri Alpaca and 26% Mulberry silk. In addition to partnering perfectly with Sylvan, we also love it by itself when held double for patterns where the end result needs to be, oh, a cloud.
You'll need one each of Suri and Sylvan for your own Thistle. You can find Suri Alpaca Silk Lace RIGHT HERE. Match it up color-wise with Sylvan RIGHT HERE. We worked ours up in the color called Camellia, but we'd love to see it in, say, Moss. You can find the Thistle Scarf pattern RIGHT HERE.

It's Baaaa-ck! Behold the Borrego de la Fortuna!
This time around, these should last about, oh, five minutes. Seriously: never has something hightailed it outta here as fast as the first batch of these did.
From Celina Mancourti (she of the awesome Meg-approved totes) comes this adorable handmade little sheep...called a Borrego de la Fortuna.
Rooted in Mexican tradition, the Borrego de la Fortuna is a symbol of abundance, good luck, and financial prosperity. Inspired by the belief that sheep bring wealth, protection, and stability, these little sculptures are often given to attract success and fortune in a new home, business, or life venture.
Our Borregos de la Fortuna are handcrafted with wool and wire in Tampa, so each is slightly different (because of the "handcrafted," not the "Tampa"). These make great gifts, and a flock of them would look great on your holiday mantel as well.
You can find one - or more - RIGHT HERE.

Lykke Flight: Now In-Stock In-Sets!
After last week's launch of Lykke's stainless steel Lykke Flight needles in all their various pieces and parts, we're happy to announce that this week, we've got the complete interchangeable sets in stock! We heard from a visiting fellow store-owner that these are getting scarce already, so hit us up if you're finding that to be the case.
The listings for these have all the details for the five various sets, but the short version is: we've got them in both Standard and Mini variations, as well as a Bulky option. You can find alllll the info you could ever need about the 5" sets (Standard, Mini and Bulky) sets RIGHT HERE. The 3.5" sets are RIGHT HERE.

Antonio in Shiny Happy Cotton
In the crocheted-things-that-caught-our-eye department this week, we absolutely love the allover shell-patterned texture of Wool and the Gang's Antonio Blanket. Worked by alternating between colors on each row, you simply carry the yarn up the side as you go, rather than cutting the yarn. A decorative single crochet edge is then added to finish it up. Minimal effort, maximum result!
You'll need two each of three different colors of Wool and the Gang's Shiny Happy Cotton (six total). You can see the kaleidoscope of options RIGHT HERE; lots of directions to go! The sample in the photo is worked in Hot Pink, True Blood Red and Turquoise Waters, but if lower-key is more your thing, think about a neutral combo. The pattern is available via that same link.

Peru-se These Ornaments from Peru!
We're well into November now - way past complaining about Christmas Creep, y'all - and this place is positively festooned with glitter and geeegaws from now until the end of 2025! You can't miss these little knitted ornaments from Mélange when you come in the door. Available in four options - a sheep, a bunny, and both grey and tan owls - these are terrific little nods to your favorite hobby...and you don't even have to knit them yourself (though you have our permission to just lie about that).
Mélange works closely with organizations dedicated to empowering women through income-generating projects. The Peruvian makers of these ornaments enjoy a safe work environment and earn a living wage with a respect for their cultural traditions.
