Class Alert: Socks on Two Circs!
It's baaaaaaack: Leah's eye-opening class that teaches you to make socks on two circs! Check your calendars, line up your plans with the dates below, and give us a call at 615-354-1007 to reserve your spot!
This is a three-session class that meets on Sundays (ya gotta come to all three!), and there are two sets of dates:
- March 8, 3-5pm
- March 15, 2-5pm
- March 29, 3- 5pm
and
- April 12, 3-5pm
- April 19, 2-5pm
- May 3, 3-5pm
(Oh, and since someone always asks: the sock in the photo is made with Deluxe Stripes in the Poinsettia colorway.)
Big Bad Wool's Weepaca...Back in a Big Way!
A massive infusion of restocked Big Bad Wool's Weepaca hit the worsted wall this week and just in the nick of time...things were looking sparse over there! We love everything about Weepaca: its incredible blend of baby alpaca and merino, its vivid color palette, its washability...everything!
We're showing you a few pattern favorites here that are perfect in Weepaca (details below, keep reading), but we've got quite a few samples in-store worked up in it (we particularly love it for when you might want to "elevate" baby-makes a little). We have it in over forty shades (a lot of them are perfect for spring) and you can find it RIGHT HERE.
From the top:
The Mini Purl Blanket (get it? MINI. PURL. How-deee!) is worked in the round beginning in the center of the blanket using only the knit stitch. As yarnover increases begin to increase the size of your blanket, you'll change over to longer circular needles as necessary, ending with a stunning smocked ruffle and a picot edge. The result is a terrific heirloom-quality baby blanket. You'll need seven skeins of Weepaca, and the pattern is RIGHT HERE.
The Rose Sweater is a sweet little coat sized for 6- to 12-monthers. It's knit top-down, in the round...with no seaming! You'll need anywhere from four to eight skeins of Weepaca; you can check out the size and yardage requirements (and grab the pattern) RIGHT HERE.
The Graphite Hat is one of a myriad number of hat patterns we love for Weepaca; we've talked about a bunch of them before. We especially love the one named Graphite for its graphic possibilities. The pattern is RIGHT HERE. Grab a couple of skeins as a main color and then one each of two more and get going. With the number of colors we have in stock, you could make, oh, about a million of these and never make the same hat twice.
Lykke Flight Restock
We've spent a couple of months with Lykke's new Flight needles (which initially sold out quite quickly due to the combination of demand and tariff complications) and now we've at last got the full complement of them on the needle wall! And we really do whole-heartedly love them. If the pointiness of the similar ChiaoGoos makes your fingertips feel ouchie, you might give these a test run.
