All-New Appalachian Baby Blankets!
Appalachian Baby is a 100% organic cotton yarn that just keeps surprising us! The folks at AB sent us a couple of blanket samples this week - along with printed patterns - that we just can't keep from picking up!
Both Moorland and Highland use six balls of Appalachian Baby (three colors, two balls of each); add a needle (32" US6 for Moorland, 32" - 40" US7 for Highland) and you're ready to go! These are easy to customize colorwise, but Appalachian Baby is one of those mysterious yarns where every color works with every other color in the line. You simply cannot go wrong.
Approximate finished size of Moorland is 30" x 32"; Highland is roughly 30" x 30".
Find open stock of Appalachian Baby RIGHT HERE; printed patterns are also available via that link.

Block-a-Month Knitalong REMINDER: March!
If you're Block-a-Monthing, just a quick reminder that March's in-store meetup is today (Mon, March 2) at 11am right here up in the Haus! If you need the lowdown on what all of that means, check the lead story in Newsletter 910 (you can find that RIGHT HERE). Even if you missed that info the first time around, you haven't missed out on the KAL. This is a yearlong project. You can jump in at any time and catch up (or not, it doesn't matter!) at your own speed.
March's block is Block 3: Pyramid Lace. This one introduces yarnovers into your knitalong arsenal after a couple of months of just knits and purls.
The majority of knitalongers so far are using Plymouth Worsted Merino Superwash, but remember: any worsted yarn you want to use is the right answer! Some folks are working it up in Ultra Alpaca, some in Knitting for Olive's Heavy Merino. Just remember: you need about 200 yards for each block. Plymouth Worsted Merino Superwash has been restocked in tsunami-ish quantities...so if you were waiting on a particular color...
Again, you'll find alllll the details for this KAL in Newsletter 910. You can find the Block-a-Month Afghan book RIGHT HERE.

Turtles + Mushrooms! A Tape Measure Restock
Who knew the demand for turtle-shaped tape measures was so high? We sold out of these brand new babies in like ten minutes two weeks ago! Anyway. They're back, along with a restock of the perennially-popular crocheted mushroom measures.
Both are hand crocheted 60" tape measures that feature inches on one side and centimeters/millimeters on the other. The tape retracts by pushing a little secret button. You can find the turltes RIGHT HERE and the mushrooms are HERE. They come in various colors; we'll choose for you.

The Magic of Jewelspun
We've had a little increase recently in store visitors with animal-allergies (alpha-gal is serious business!), so it's been nice to be able to show them Jewelspun Aran, a super-soft 100% acrylic with a handspun look - a unique combo we couldn't resist adding to our lineup a few months ago that's really taken off for us. It's got a whopping 546 yards per ball, which makes it a great, economical choice for blankets and sweaters alike - as well as almost any accessory you can think of. It's got a seductive color-changing quality that keeps you stitching just to see what color comes next! It really is a perfect choice for folks trying to navigate animal allergy or sensitivity issues! And anyone, really. It's machine-washable also! We featured a few patterns for it back in Newsletter 896.
Jewelspun makes another, similar yarn (though this one does contain wool) if you're looking for something a little chunkier but maintains easy washability and care: Jewelspun with Wool Chunky. It's a perfect bulky blend of acrylic and wool (80/20) that's soft to the touch, quick to work up, and washable washable washable! Created by spinning multiple strands of different shades together to create multi-colored marls, each quick knitting ball transitions from hue to hue as you knit. It's an ideal accessory yarn, great for ponchos, scarves, hats and the like. It's also got like a ton of yardage: 328 per ball.
