New Class Alert: Llamarama!

If you've been meaning to learn how to make the little adorable amigurumi figures that have taken the world by storm...here's your chance! Kendall is offering a three-session class later this year where you'll learn to make this lil' llama.  The class meets three Saturdays (Nov 14 + 21, plus Dec 5) and costs $75. Materials are additional and must be purchased through Haus of Yarn. The pattern is free with your yarn purchase. If you're interested in signing up, give us a call here at the shop to sign up (615-354-1007)...there are only seven spots, so no dilly-dallying!

If you've already got mad amigurumi skillz and just wanna make the llama on your own, you'll need the following: one each of Ricoumi DK in Salmon, Fuchsia, Sky Blue, Pistachio and Black, and two in Cream. Just pop the words "llama pattern" in the notes during checkout and we'll know to include it with your Ricorumi order.

Find Ricoumi DK RIGHT HERE. To sign up for this (or any other) class, call us at 615-354-1007.

They're Back! Amigurumi Knitting Kits!

In other animal news....We've been out of these for a bit, so we're tickled to death that we've got the band back together at last.

These knitted toys not only look super cute, but are also super soft because of the "melange" yarn they utilize. There are almost a dozen different animals to choose from. Each kit is packaged with enough Scheepjes Stone Washed yarn to complete your project. Stone Washed is a soft, cotton/acrylic blend that's machine washable.

Each kit contains a multilingual pattern (NL, EN, DU and FR (make it a challenge and do it in French! Ha ha, no), yarn, safety eyes and the required stuffing. All you need are your favorite 2.5mm knitting needles!

Sizes vary per kit; see them all RIGHT HERE to get the measurements of each and to grab one for yourself!

OMG, The Knitting for Olive Restock. At Last!

If you heard Meg's sigh of relief (audible across the American south) last week, then you already know: her Knitting for Olive restock has finally arrived. We feel sorry for the customer service folks at FedEx, who held Meg's hand through about, oh, nine hundred and eleven emails as they worked out the customs and tariff situation (yes, despite what you may have heard, this ridiculous small-business-killing tariff situation is still ongoing).

Anyway! Haus has been proud to be a Knitting for Olive stockist for a couple of years now - one of the few in the southeast - and when the KfO wall gets replenished, the bell on the door starts dinging.

KfO's Pure Silk in particular got a big bump-up, including three juicy new-to-us colors: Plum, Blue Tit and Raspberry Red. This fingering weight yarn is perfect for warm weather tops, tanks, cardigans, wraps and scarves. We particularly love it for the Moon Set Tee, a classic v-neck with a simple silhouette knit from the top down. It features dropped shoulders and I-cord finishes for a casual look. The combo of pattern and yarn here results in a surprisingly affordable luxury-vibe tee. It's silk, y'all! We have a sample in-store that instantly entered our wardrobe rotation.

You can find yardage/skein count and sizing info by taking a glance at the chart above. You can find Knitting for Olive's Pure Silk RIGHT HERE and the Moon Set Tee pattern is HERE.

BTW, those three new colors pop up here and there across the multiple gauges in the KfO section at Haus; definitely take a look at it all RIGHT HERE or just come in and stare at the wall. It's hypnotizing!

More Sale Section Yarn!

The sale section has been replenished! You can go look for yourself! At these prices, we're not doing any extra typing.

(BUT: Biosoft, Vernazza and a little bit of Modern Linen....oh my! Plus Big Cotton, which we added last week). Act now or pay full price somewhere else!

Block-a-Month Knitalong Reminder: July!

Y'all, we're halfway done with this yearlong knitalong! Can you believe it?

If you're Block-a-Monthing, just a quick reminder that July's in-store meetup is next Monday (July 6) at 11am right here up in the Haus! If you need the lowdown on what all of that means, check the lead story in Newsletter 910 (you can find that RIGHT HERE). Even if you missed that info the first time around, you haven't missed out on the KAL. This is a yearlong project. You can jump in at any time and catch up (or not, it doesn't matter!) at your own speed.

July's block is Block 6: Chains. Easy peasy!

The majority of knitalongers so far are using Plymouth Worsted Merino Superwash, but remember: any worsted yarn you want to use is the right answer! Some folks are working it up in Ultra Alpaca, some in Knitting for Olive's Heavy Merino. Just remember: you need about 200 yards for each block.  Plymouth Worsted Merino Superwash has been restocked in tsunami-ish quantities...so if you were waiting on a particular color...

Again, you'll find alllll the details for this KAL in Newsletter 910.  You can find the Block-a-Month Afghan book RIGHT HERE.
