Black-Eyed Susans...in Full Bloom!
In tandem with their real-life counterparts just beginning their summer bloom, these juicily-colored "Black-Eyed Susan" canvas zip pouches and totes have been restocked and are ready for picking! These were a big hit at Nash Yarn Fest back in April, so we're thrilled to have them back in the shop.
Hand-screened in Pennsylvania by the team at Eric & Christopher, these are bags that you can use for just about anything (though of course we're gonna mention that you can definitely fit a sweater-sized project in the tote!). We love the gorgeous hand-drawn art, the sizes are generous and the price is almost unbelievable.
Two formats - travel pouch and tote - in three colors each: Sunshine Yellow, Orange Peel and Coral Pink. The zipped pouch is 12" x 9". The tote is approximately 17" x 16" x 6" and features an interior pocket and a D-ring for key-clipping. Each Eric & Christopher piece is silk-screened by hand; no two are quite alike.

Get a Bead on Perlchen!
We just got in a hefty box of a lovely little laceweight carry-along yarn that features gorgeous little glass beads: Perlchen! We've got it in six different colors and we went ahead and matched it up with correspondingly-colored mohair. It may be July and hot as a firecracker outside, but the second half of the year only means one thing: the holidays are on the way. And this is the perfect combo for a lightweight shawl or scarf with a little holiday oo-la-la. Or even non-holiday oo-la-la!
We're in the midst of working up an ever-reliable Sophie as a shop sample so you can see the fabric in person if you pop by in a few days; we think you'll love it!

Speaking of Sparkle...
Recently re-stocked Marilyn is a delicate, decadent organic cotton blend, featuring tiny sequins for added sparkle. Marilyn is a Romanian-milled machine washable blend of cotton and polymide (57/43) and comes in oversized 503-yard balls. It's perfect for lightweight shawls and tops!
And we finally got the color our Belinda sample is knit in back in stock! Belinda is a terrific tunic-length knit tank, with classic lines and an easy breeziness all tanks should aspire to!. The model in the photo is worked up in dreamy off-white "Pearl Necklace." You will need 2-3 balls of Marilyn for Belinda. See the chart above for sizing/yarn quantity guidance. Cute as a Button
Did you know we have buttons? We do! But here's the thing...they're not online. The very idea of having to photograph and write descriptions for hundreds of different buttons would have us hitting up every Happy Hour between here and the Mississippi River. But! If you come visit us in person, make sure to visit the newly-revamped and organized button wall!
As you might already know, buttons can be tough to come by these days. But Meg recently sat down with her button rep (fancy that: a button rep!) and re-ordered some shop favorites and added a whole swath of new-to-us buttons. Definitely take a look when you visit...and bring your button list. You do have a button list ... right?
