The Sasha Wrap
Speaking of Patty....she recently brought in her finished version of the luscious Sasha Wrap, a super-simple, beginner-friendly swath of stockinette (with wide garter stripes) that's little more than a rectangle folded in half and secured with a statement button. If you've got a special solo or orphaned button you've been holding on to for just the right project, we think Sasha might be it. (We also have a billion buttons in-store for you to peruse if you find yourself sadly buttonless). Get started today and this bulky-gauged project will be finished up long before the first blush of fall...and you'll be ready for it!
Sasha is written for two different finished sizes, but both need just four balls of Softest Alpaca, which brings the finished garment in under the fifty-dollar mark! It's a lot of look for very little, folks.
Rowan Mode's Softest Alpaca is a splendid blend of alpaca and Merino, selectively sourced with care from the Andean Highlands. As light as a feather with a fluffy brushed texture, it's great for both simple and complex stitches. We've got it in about a dozen colors; Patty's Sasha is worked up in Willow, but we love Softest Alpaca's lighter shades as well!

New BlackCat Bags!
While we're talking about Haus-ers...our own Vicki (who is BlackCat Bags) debuted a new project bag shape this week, an over-sized "wedge" that features an "open wider" zipper and tab, that allows the bag to open considerably wider than a standard wedge beg. The finished size is 15" x 10" x 5" with a nice flat bottom that sits tight by your side. It's also got a swivel wrist strap that clips on via a D-ring.
Made with indie designer cotton or cotton/linen canvas, each bag is fully lined. Fabric placement and linings may vary, but each bag is individually "fussy cut" to showcase the design of the fabric.

Derecho in Remix Light
Remix, Remix Light and Remix Chunky are such reliable workhorses for us here at Haus of Yarn that we think we sometimes forget to talk about any of them - we don't have to! But this week, we're gonna talk about ONE of them. Remix Light is 100% recycled and is a terrific choice for sweaters (or whatever!) when you want a non-wool option - it's a nylon/cotton/silk/linen blend.
Remix Light is perfect for Derecho, a stylish, seamless top-down tee. Easy eyelet stitches shape the yoke and add decoration to the neckline at the same time. The Gold Rush is On: a New Perlchen!
We told you about Perlchen two weeks ago and y'all lost your ever-lovin' minds over this beaded beauty. Since we added a new color this week - gold! GOLD! - we're gonna repeat ourselves.
Perlchen is made from 100% lyocell and features embedded glass beads. This yarn can be knitted or crocheted alongside other yarns without altering the pattern, as it simply moves along with the rest of the project. The yarn is twisted, allowing the glass beads to shift only slightly along the thread, giving textiles a subtle texture and accent

Purl Strings
A fresh infusion of Purl Strings hit our shelves this week! These handy little guys allow you to slide your working stitches onto a long flexible cord whilst mid-progress and try on your sweater for a fit-check. To use, simply insert the tip of your needle into the opening inside the cord end, slide your work onto the cord, and now you can check for fit as your project progresses. We've been surprised by how much we use ours!

No More "Work Until" Anxiety!
