On the Ocean in Sea Isle
We got a big restock of a shop favorite this week: Sea Isle! This worsted blend of organic Pima cotton and fine Merino results in a beautiful drape and a great balance of warmth and breathability. The chainette ply structure creates a fabric that works up with loft and bounce.
We love it for the On the Ocean pullover, a relaxed sweater that's both modern and timeless. It's a little bit drop-shoulder and a little bit dolman-style and a lot of fabulous! On the Ocean's all-over stripes allow you to fool around with different color combos (we've suggested a few up above; the striped sample above is worked in Sand Dollar and Soft White), but Sea Isle works up terrifically in a solid as well!

New! Torzal...and The Torzal Cowl!
Brand new in the shop - and the world! - this week: Torzal, a sport-weight beauty from the reliable dyepots of Malabrigo! It's a 100% superwash Merino wool that blends random tones and shades over the length of the yarn. It's incredibly soft and it's got a handspun vibe without the handspun price: just $16 for 160 yards.
With that in mind, the Torzal Cowl is a fantastic single-skein project. The pattern is free, so this one really is a bargain on all fronts. It's a simple knits-and-purls stockinette cowl where the occasional additional purled row provides a little visual interest. It's a terrific tv-watching project, so fire up your favorite streamer, binge watch whatever murder show you're currently addicted to and get to work!

Speaking of colors: in true Malabrigo tradition, some of the shades of the new Torzal are already your favorites from their Rios, Rasta, Chunky, Mechita, Caprino, Silkpaca, Mohair, Arroyo and Ultimate Sock lines! It's always interesting to see how the different bases and weights of Malabrigo behave across a single colorway designation. And most of them have just been majorly restocked; if you've been hankering for a particular shade of any of those, now's the time to check stock online and grab it!
