The Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: JULY/AUGUST Edition!

Join us in the store next Monday -- Monday, July 10th -- at 11:00 am as we begin the next installment of the Yearlong Knitalong! We'll be working on the Parthenon Wrap designed by Mama Jo! The design of this fingering weight wrap is inspired by the Greek architecture of one of Music City's most famous landmarks and is knit with just three skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Loft, a woolen-spun 2-ply yarn with a delicate twist.

Not interested in making the wrap? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-Month Knitalong meets at 1:00 pm -- Monday, July 10th.

Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. DOUBLE STAMPS! We really do appreciate your participation and want to encourage as many of you to make as many of the monthly projects as possible. Earning double stamps will make it that much easier!

Not local? No worries! Join the Yearlong Knitalong virtually. Click here to join our group and come knit along with us!

We'd love to see your projects! In process or completed...if you're on Instagram, join in anytime with #yearlongknitalong and #hausofyarntn.

Workshops!

Our instructors are taking a July break but classes will back in full swing in August! If you know someone who might be interested in learning to knit, please forward this email to them - they're probably not current newsletter subscribers!

Sandra will be once again be teaching Beginning Knitting. The pattern she teaches serves dual purposes -- the end result can be worn as a hat by cinching up the knitted I-cord or or worn as a cowl simply by leaving the I-cord open. This particular project is chosen to maximize the learning potential in her intensive, three week course.

If you already know how to knit, but would like a little guidance with a specific technique or project, take a look at Shayron's Pick Your Project course schedule. For example, If making a sweater is on your "to-do" list, how about this adorable Simply Knitted Baby Sweater, knit from just one full skein of incredibly soft Southern Bales Organic Cotton and one mini skein for the fun stripe! Shayron will guide you through the process, easy-peasy!

Both Sandra and Shayron are offering their classes in August, September, October & November. See our website for class dates and times.

Christmas in July

Time to Make Some Room Around Here!

We're just back from our annual yarn-buying trip and we've got to make some room in the shop for all the new goodies we have on order! If you live locally, you know we usually only have one sale a year: the after-Christmas sale, where any yarns we had decided to phase out over the course of the year unpacked are put on sale at rock-bottom prices. Well, we're gonna do it a bit differently this year! Beginning today, selected yarns are 40% off! The sale will last until it's all gone so be sure to swing by the shop or visit our website while the getting is good -- once it's gone, it's gone.

Happy shopping, y'all!
